aecon 2 - Fred and Brock or "Joey, the turning point mouse"
jeez, I blink and a week has gone by....
okay, so it's time for another entry about aecon 2. yeah, probably no one cares anymore, but lol, I'm actually quite "monk" enough to have to write everything down ;P
Fred Lehne and Brock Kelly
there are always those guests who you don't really care about before a convention. But then you there and you meet them and of course, they're totally awesome!! (and thank god, I'm so happy that I never "met" an actor and got disappointed).
Well, yeah, that's what it was like with Fred and Brock. And yes, Brock doesn't really feel comfortable in crowds and doesn't really "get" a convention yet, but I had a coffee lounge with him and Fred and he was totally relaxed and nice and sweet there :)
And I didn't expect much from Fred either, but he was totally cool and told fun stories and the coffee lounge with the two of them was hilarious.
I don't even remember how it started but Fred was telling us the story about his snake (who he called Stretch) - and I actually started laughing right there - and he talked about how it was totally cool and everything until he got to buy the mice who came in little boxes that read "I'm so happy I'm getting a new home" and that he had to feed to his snake. He named them all and then one day there was little Joey, the turningpoint mouse and he couldn't do it anymore (it was sooo funny how Brock was sitting right next to him and laughing so hard).
And then suddenly Brock said that he also had a snake. Her name was Rachel and he actually had named her after his ex-girlfriend. He told us that she died during his shooting for Supernatural.
They also talked about the time they spent in London between the two Asylum cons and it seems a lot like Brock spent his whole week drunk :)) And one night Fred went out with Brock and a few others (don't know who was with them) and they ended up in bar where they were offered girls for the night (which they declined.... well, at least they said so ;P)
Well, at least it sounded like they had a lot of fun :))
I don't remember much from their panels. I've only seen half of each (because I was busy elsewhere with photo ops or autographs) but I've been to the last part of Brock's panel on Sunday.
Apparently, Brock and Jason had planned to let Brock join Jason on Saturday for "Crazy Love". But Brock fell asleep before the concert and the one who was supposed to wake him up also fell asleep so Brock missed the concert.
So the next day, since we all knew about it, the poor Brock really had to sing on stage (which was horrible, but thank god a few of us joined him :D). The thing that only now makes sense to me: Brock kept repeating: "Hey, where's Richard when you need him" and on Monday Jason told us that Richard and he had actually planned on crushing Brocks panel and sing with him, but then they met him before his panel and Brock was already so nervous that they decided against it.
And then poor Brock was praying for them to be behind the stage and come out when they already left. *pets Brock*
But he handled it pretty cool (I would have DIED up there) so now it's actually really funny :)
uhm yeah. I think that's it. I don't remember much more about them and I'm totally babbling here, so I will shut up now :))
