*hums* When I rise....

May 24, 2010 11:57

hey, guys!

I'm back home for exactly five minutes from the convention and I feel like i wanna start to cry now. It's like leaving the perfect happy warm place... like leaving your family behind.

This con .... there are no words how awesome it was... just.... perfect!

I don't even know where to begin to talk about all the things that happened.... well, it's not like anything big happened or something, not some spectacular ohmygodyouhavetowatchit-video or something... but all the little things just made it a perfect, perfect weekend. So I'm just trying to tell you guys some of the stuff you can't see on youtube and I'll probably make more posts when I remember more or wanna post pictures :) And since I haven't read ANY stuff about the con, there will definitely be some things I wanna adress :)

But before I start, the most important thing: I already miss you kittyfaelis !!!!!!! srsly, this weekend couldn't have happened the way it did without you!! I'm sooo sooooooooooo happy that we met because I've never clicked with someone sooo instantly!! :))

I will have to make an extra post about all the lovely people I met there. I have to go and find them on livejournal first :))

ETA: can someone please add this to the aecon page on superwiki? I don't know how.. *makes puppy dog eyes*

The venue:

WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! srsly, the hotel, the park the small city... it was like a prototype of the perfect little German town (okay, with lots of old people like a lot of the guests mentioned ;P). We had the best weather we could have hoped for and I think all that was a huge part why everyone was enjoying themselves so much.

The talks:

They were great! Duh! :))

But I'm not gonna talk about them much because I'm pretty sure you can see and hear everything about them anyway. Just let me say this:

Misha is, well... Misha. He seemed to really, really love it and was always cracking up. Oh, and he has a mean German accent if he wants to ;P Mark definitely owns the crowd! And he can slip from himself into Lucifer into a gay queen from word to the next :) Their joined panel was simultaniously the most terrible and most hilarious one I've ever seen. srsly, I don't know where all the giggling schoolgirls with the weird questions came from so suddenly (everyone was behaving the day before ;D), but ohmygod, I was laughing so hard I was crying. And yes. We got the dean/castiel question. And as much as I hate, hate, hate the people that think it's okay to bring that up - it was almost worth it just to see Marks face as Misha was like "Oh, I'm gonna explain that for you real quick." ;P And I still keep cracking up at: "If you have two shoes".... *rofl* (for the ones who haven't seen or read anything about it: there was this girl who was trying to ask something like "If you have to choose between..." but since we're Germans, well..... let's just say Misha couldn't stop laughing for a very long time...

I absolutely adored Chad this weekend! Although you could definitely tell that he was soooo hungover on Saturday (he's a funny drunk, let me tell you ;D). He was a total different person on Sunday when he was actually awake ;P

Jim? I mean, I don't have to tell anyone how awesome this guy is, right? *makes a "duh" face*

And ohmygod I love Tracy even more now!! I didn't see much of her in the panels (she was very relaxed in the first joined one with Sam and Chad and I missed the one with Jim), but that was okay, because I had a coffee lounge with her.

I srsly fell in love with Sam all over again! Her panel was amazing. Totally interesting and she almost made me tear up when she almost started crying talking about the reactions she got for the episode where Jo and Ellen die. She was talking soooooooo fast, it was fun listening to her. And she can do a mean impression of Chad's Saturday morning ;P

The concert:

Was sooooo good, I HAD to buy the cd!!! And yeah, a lot of you guys will say "well, duh!" but his kind of music is actually not my kind of music at all. But my god, this man has the softest, smoothest voice I've ever heard. And he's sooo amazing! So sweet and totally in love with what he's doing!! The song "He'll walk away" almost killed me! (btw. secretlytodream , if you read this: if you're out of ideas for making vids... I have the perfect song and perfect story for it! ;P). He was signing his stuff after and was the sweetest person ever! And I loved that Chad and his girlfriend (who I have a MAJOR girlcrush on, btw) were watching the concert too :))

The coffee lounges:

That's definitely the best thing I've ever spent money on!! srsly, if you're going to a convention that has things like that, DO IT!

Mark: we were sitting in this (very cold) room, about ten people I guess and it was really, really cool. We were talking about the finale and Mark was totally dissappointed that Luci didn't kick some ass ;P we were discussing it and he was trying to make us feel for Luci (we do, Mark, I promise!!!). And then he was asking a few of us what we're doing in real life and that was really interesting. It really was just like sitting together and talking and it was actually really interesting. I could have sat there for hours listening to everybody.

Misha: Mark was actually the only coffee lounge we spent inside. All the other ones happened outside :) :) srsly, that was sooo amazing!! Misha met us at the room and was like "come on, let's go outside" and we went to the park of the hotel. Misha lead us and since Mark was having another coffee loungs outside, Misha made as walk right through their little circle. And since there was this whole battle of Misha's minions vs. Lucifer's legion going on Mark was like "Oh, well. Misha's minions following mindlessly their leader..." it was soo funny, because he was totally right! Misha was leading us to a place under some trees, we were all following and then we sat down in a circle .... we were totally playing the scene in In The End, just with more girls... I was actually waiting for Misha to say something "okay, let's get washed up for the orgy" ;P Well, he didn't say that, but he started with "Thank you for joining group today. I have things I want to talk about to you." LOL
It was srsly amazing... sitting in the grass, the birds singing and the sun shining, eating gummy bears and talking to Misha... *sighs* and he was totally relaxed, talking about how he rebuilt this house he bought and only had one fully intact room he was living in. We talked about where to travel in Europe and how his first con experience was... (he actually thought it would be more like it was portrayed in the con episode of Supernatural)... he was talking about his time in paris when he was so sick he couldn't leave the bed and idk.... we were just sitting there and totally enjoying ourselves.

Tracy: god, I loooove this woman!! She's sooo beautiful and amazing, you almost can't take your eyes off her! We were a much smaller group than with Misha and we were also sitting outside under a tree and talking about everything. About the women in the show, about the best places to go to in America... I don't even remember that much, just that we had a great time and she was so sweet, always looking everyone in the eyes when she was talking to them. And in the end, we sang together and I just can't get the song out of my head today... it was definitely something else.. I still feel all warm and tingly from that!

The autographs:

I loved that they did them all at once this year. That was the best for everyone and I guess the guests enjoyed being all together for that. Jim was of course the longest line since he stays true to what he always does and takes his time with everyone. It was very smooth and relaxing just to go from one table to the next and let them sign everything.

The photo-ops:

Yes! I did it!! *is proud* I got convinced to finally be brave enough to get them, so kittyfaelis and I got a Mark/ Misha together and I got one alone. I wasn't as nervous as I thought I'd be and the guys were great and smiling and the pictures turned out really great.

Everything else:

this is probably gonna be the biggest part, because all the stuff that happened in between and at night... ;P

On Friday night kittyfaelis and I went down into the little bar of the hotel. They had live music, which was pretty cool and I'm very ashamed to admit that I was dancing to "Ein Bett im Kornfeld" *hides* Chad, his girlfriend, Jim and Jason were there as well and Chad was already pretty drunk when we went there. :) Jim was talking to two girls the whole evening and definitely seemed to have a good time. At one point, Chad danced with his girlfriend (did I mention that I love her? ;P) and that looked really cool!! Later, they somehow got Jason onto the tiny dancefloor and well, I think he doesn't like dancing very much :D he looked totally uncomfortable but was really sweet and grinning when he finally managed to escape :)

Oh, before that, we met up with some other people and went into town to eat something and we ended up sittiing a few tables away from Jim, Sam,Tracy, Chad and Chad's girlfriend. It was really cool, because the town was so tiny and you when you were walking around, you suddenly spotted Sam with her sunglasses just walking around or Jim and Tracy going for a walk... kittyfaelis almost got run over by Misha and Jason who went jogging (srsly, we all regreted not to have taken our running clothes because that was just the perfect place to go for a nice long run!). At another point we just walked through the park and there were Mark and his wife sitting in the grass and enjoying the sun... it bet it was the most relaxing con ever!

On Saturday night we found each other talking to Jason and Jim in front of the main hall. There were always a few groups pf people here and there and I thought it was amazing for them to come down and join us. Mark was there too for some time, sitting at a table and just chatting with some people. We talked to Jason about all the other shows we watch (he likes The Mentalist too if I remember correctly) but mostly we were just chatting about random stuff. I wish I could tell something like... OHMYGOD.. he said this and that, but no.... we were really just chatting about nothing and everything and that was pretty cool. At one point, while we were talking to Jim, there was this crazy drunk German tourist... *shakes head* .. he didn't know Jim (called him Jim Beam - that cracked Misha up when we told him ;P) but he understood that he was kinda important being surrounded by all those girls.. so he came and pulled Jim away, going like "hey, let's have a drink together, Jim Beam," and it was really surreal and funny at the same time... Jim was laughing and trying to get away and when he didn't at first, the whole crowd of fangirls suddenly ran after them... lol, that was scary... Jim was laughing when he finally escaped and totally shaking his head over the guy but we built kinda a protecting circle until the tourist's wife dragged him off :) :)
Chad and his girlfriend joined us later and we talked to her a little. (she called Jim, Beaves ;P) She is SUCH a sweet person, srsly, we were chatting about what they were going to do next (they plan on going to Amsterdam) and all that and she told us that she loved being here and that everyone was sooo nice and I just wish she would have a small tiny part in Supernatural so that we could get her every time and up that stage! :))

Sunday night was the coolest! Somehow we ended up watchting some scenes of the finale with Jim on a laptop. Jim hadn't seen it before and he was really interested and some of us started crying watching and as soon as we finished it with Sam's (or not!Sam's) look, all the girls suddenly started talking all at once "Is that Sam?" "No he, isn't!" "Yes, he is!" and Jim was just grinning and shaking his head. I guess he can go to Eric now and tell him: "You definitely got what you wanted" ;P He actually told us that they had tried to talk Eric out of using that last sequence and it was amazing to see when we paused the episode at Sam's face, we were all like "I see anger" - "No, I don't" - "He looks sad" .... You could totally tell how proud and amazed Jim was by Jared when he said "That's amazing. There's nothing there. Absolutely nothing. Just a blank face."
When we watched the last scene with Chuck talking about endings, I whispered to Jim (he was standing right next to me) "That's supposed to be Eric, right?" And he just grinned at me and winked and said something like "Well, I don't know." :) :)
I hated to leave that night but I said goodbye to everyone and hugged Jim goodbye and I was soo sad to go!!

I'm pretty sure I'm forgetting a lot but there was sooo much going on and my head is just really kinda fuzzy right now :)

Let me just add that the weekend ended with Standing Ovations for Rogue Events (or well, Doug, our host) and when they announced that we're gonna do another one next year, same time, same place, the crowd almost exploded! And I'm definitely gonna be there!

So everyone who didn't enjoy this weekend clearly did something wrong. It was amazing. Like having two weeks off and having the best vacation-amazing.

Okay, now I'm going to catch up in lj and look what everyone else said :))
