Rice seemed really nervous before the 9-11 commission. It made me wonder what she was hiding. All I have to say is that I'm glad they have changed the camera angle on these things since the Iran-Contra hearings in the 80s. I much prefer the dead-on, newscaster angle they are using now to the hero-angle (i.e., shooting from below) they used to film Ollie North when he testified.
There's an interesting line the Bush administration must walk regarding 9-11. They have to first prove that they were taking terrorism seriously before the planes hit the towers, but at the same time they have to prove that they didn't know enough to have prevented what happened. From what I saw of Rice's testimony today, the commission hit her with some fairly hard questions, but they really didn't push enough.
