Went to a free showing of "The Life Aquatic," but it turned out to be "I Heart Huckabees" because the newspaper ad was wrong about the show dates. I'd already seen Huckabees, but stayed anyway. Oddly, I enjoyed it twice as much as the first time. On first viewing, its humor seemed strained. This time I was laughing hysterically. Mark Wahlberg was amazing--the guy just puts everything he's got into his roles.
Today is Valentine's Day, which I am not observing. It's a hallmark holiday. When you go out to dinner, everyone else is in romantic-couples mode too, and it seems fake to all be in the same place, physically and, at least by the looks of it, emotionally. Romance should be more spontaneous and personal I think.
