So much crazy awesomeness.
Last Tuesday I met Demetri Martin! I recorded his set on my iPhone and will probably distribute it illegally.
Last Wednesday I went to Facebook at the UCB with my sister, my cute friend Matthew and my sexually ambiguous friend Chris. I ran into a lot of people that I knew from High School which seems to be the case more and more every time I go there.
On Thursday I had dinner with my Dad and he told me that he used to be in an improv troupe with one of my best friend's Dad - Bil Dwyer, he used to host Battlebots and was on Last Comic Standing - CRAZY!! My mind is still trying to process this. I had a Mike Birbiglia-type wave of astonishment sweep over me.
On Saturday morning I saw the latest Harry Potter movie. It was - SO good. Probably the best one yet. I know that's a steep thing to say considering there are 5 other movies, but I'm tellin' ya - this was the first one that really, truly felt like a MOVIE. Meaning it followed the basic conventions and pace of what a moviegoing public should expect. It just flowed, and it didn't hurt that all of the boys bulked up their guns for this movie. Rubert Grint - sigh.
That night I went to the Labyrinth Masquerade. I can sum it up in this picture:
I dressed up as some sort of fairy-flower-Hippie child with flowers glued to my face. And eh, I know these are recycled from facebook but here goes:
It was a night filled with color, fantastical costumes and general good times and good music.
This coming week should be pretty jam-packed. A Pete & Pete themed bike ride on Thursday, another ride on Wednesday and a comedy show sprinkled every here and there. I love it!
