I got tattooed today. I had quite possibly one of the best days of my life.
All I can say is - YES, IT HURT. I got both of my feet tattooed. I tried to distract myself and play Tetris on my friend Niko's iPhone the entire time. There were definitely some parts where I felt a foreshadowing of child birth pain (I know that's irrational because child birth is 100x's more painful, but whatev's - I had to grip onto something and white knuckle it).
All I can say is:
-I think I'm in love with my boyfriend, and almost said it when he blew me a kiss during my tattoo. I'm pretty sure he loves me too, this sentence sounds like a fifteen year old wrote it, but it accurately sums it up. We're at that awkward early stage where saying 'I Love You' seems like a cliche that people jump into.
-I love road trips, and need to go on a 100 more before I turn 30.
-Hearst Castle tomorrow, it's going to be mind-meltingly good.
-Today included: Eating lunch, drinking beers, smoking spliffs on top of Sjimon's Potrero apartment that overlooks the entire city and gives you a good view of both bridges (Bay Bridge/Golden Gate), hanging out in Haight, shopping around, taking cute photobooth pictures, rolling by Golden Gate Park, hanging out in Berkeley before the tattoo - flipping out from my nerves and then getting through it like a pro. My street cred just bumped up 100 points, apparently feet are one of the most painful areas to get tattooed.
Oh, and here:
