Support Trick or Treat
Hello!
My trick or treat request is simple:
The trick you do:
Write an "Academy Award Speech" thanking people who have been influential to your success in Support and mentioning why they have helped. You can mention as many people as you'd like, but for each person, you have to say how they have helped you throughout your Support career.
The treat you get:
I'll send you (hard copy) a picture postcard from my local area with something I like about you written on it. Offer valid anywhere in the world! (Offer may take several weeks to acquire and mail postcards, but you will receive a vgift as soon as possible - postcards will be in the mail by November 15)
To do so: reply to this post with your story in one comment, and your address in a separate comment. I'll unscreen your story (unless you don't want me to) and everyone can go "awww" at how cool everyone else is.

Of course, it wouldn't be fair to not start with my story (which was under the old rules and could only pick one person. There have been tons of other people who have helped me, but the one I'm going to pick on with a sappy post:
My answer is a tough one but would have to be leora. She mentored me through my first supporthelp in G/U and taught me everything I know about Support now. I felt damn good at doing Support after being trained by her, and was very grateful for the opportunity. She basically made me not give up after the endless rounds of priv-playing, and was also a good friend to me while I was being mentored. A runner-up for that is definitely everyone on IRC, but that's not a fair answer. The one biggest person for my overall Support growth was definitely leora. I wouldn't have come back to Support without rereading her e-mails to me.
