Wow it's been a long time since I've posted. Things here are crrrrazy.
School: we're 1/3 of the way through and it is still pretty enjoyable. I still haven't found my box o' human body teaching materials since our move to the new school. That really sucks and i'm not looking forward to having to rewrite notes and come up with new activities.
Special Events: last weekend we had our housewarming/halloween party. we had quite a few people and way too much food. it was a good time.
Home: my folks were in town for our party last weekend and stayed for 4 days. my dad helped peter on the house the whole time he was here. We got the downstairs gutted, new wiring and are starting on the drywall. In the meantime we got a dumpster for our old garage and have been spending the weekend loading it up. Jenny, Danny, and Dave all showed up to help us out. I was so surprised that anyone would want to work on a weekend, especially when it's not even their house. Plumbers were here this morning and now we have all copper piping which is awesome! On a side note, Jenny and Danny and Peter and myself are doing a shared work program with each other. They are helping us out on our house when they can and when we need them and in return, we do the same when they need stuff done. These next few months will be our months to have help while we get the downstairs fixed up. Spring they'll need us to lay down a new walkway for their backyard.
Surprises: My mom called me on Wednesday to tell me that my dad has cancelled his annual pheasant hunting trip so that he and my mom can come down for thanksgiving and to help finish up the house. i was so surprised and excited that i cried and cried. how cool is that...to come down to help us out and not have a relaxing vacation, but a WORKING vacation. peter and i are so excited to have the extra help! we'll be moved into our bedroom by december i bet.
well, time to do my lesson plans. i am pooped and still with cold.
