[Friends]
HA! Ask, and you shall recieve.
I've got a date.

Calm down, Christian, I'll throw a bottle of mace in my clutch if it makes you feel better.

And thanks for the booty call offer, Varletti, but looks like I don't need it after all! HA.

Yeah, but your nostrils flare all funny whenever I call you that.

I'm trying to figure out whether it would be better to come clean to Holden and be like "my crazy overprotective buddy wants to make sure you aren't going to molest me," or to just like...arrange to hang out with him somewhere and have you 'spontaneously show up' so you can check him out without him knowing he's being checked out.

My nostrils flare? What the hell.

Might as well come clean. Though I won't be harsh on him, Gert, I promise. I'll just be nosy.

Yep. It's pretty effing hilarious.

I don't think he does so well with nosy, babe.

...dude, how come when I've got a date with some stranger, you're totally chill and you don't want to give the guy the third degree, but your first reaction to me saying I've got a new friend/project is OH MY GOD HIDDEN MOTIVATIONS? I mean- dates are pretty much clearly about one thing, right?

Not that I don't think your concern is sweet, sweetheart. I'm just curious.

For one thing, you seem to have this dating pattern, so it becomes a bit predictable for me, and I know what to expect. IF you get a new friend/project, I'm kind of clueless. I get the idea that I might be replaced. Not cool at all, man.

Shit, this is long.

Because they are completely different matters. I have my reasons.

They're different, yeah, but if you're worried about hidden motivations, not THAT different.

He said he'd be up for an intro, though. Holden, I mean. So you can calm down.

Good, good. You pick a time and place and I'll be there. And really - it'll probably be shorter than you think.
