time of your life
First of all........I HAVE A NEW JOB!!! :-) Starting December 19th at 8:30am I will be working for McKean County Children and Youth Services as a County Caseworker for ongoing cases. WOW, that is a mouthful. To work for the County I had to take the Civil Service test, which I took right after I graduated in August. When you take the test they send your scores to the County or Counties that you are interested in working for. Well, right after I took the test I was offered a job at Port Psychological Services as a Therapeutic Support Staff, so I took the job. There hadn't been any openings at CYS until last week. So I went into the interview on Monday with the hopes of getting the job, but feeling kinda bad that I would have to leave Port Psych. Well I entered the interview and there were 6 supervisors sitting at a table ready to attack. Let me tell you, it was intimidating. BUT, I must have done ok, because they offered me the position at the end of the interview!! I was sooo excited. So I told them I could start in 2 weeks, because I would have to give Port Psych. my 2 weeks notice. So I left the interview and headed to Port Psych. They were supportive of my new job endeavors at Port Psych. but they said that they were upset because they were loosing one of their most dependable TSS's, awww. That made me feel really good. Well after talking for a while we decided that I would work as a TSS part-time. So I will work at CYS all day and work night hours as a TSS. That makes me feel much better, because I liked working for PPS, so I'm glad I will still be apart of their company. :-) So I'm feeling darn good right now!! Better money, hours, benefits, paid vacations, extra money for being on-call, and paid mileage!!
In other news....I'm not ready for the Holidays......AT ALL. I haven't bought 1 gift, I don't have decorations up, and I'm really just not feeling the Holiday spirit. I don't know what my problem is, but I better shape up and get some decorations up before the family comes home on the 22nd/23rd. I'm sure the last thing they want to do is come home right before Christmas and have to decorate.
I have also been dealing with some health issues. Having to focus on my health and my well-being has been a challenge for me. I would much rather be there for someone else and help them through a rough time. I don't do well caring for myself....but I'm afraid it's something I better learn to do, because this isn't going away.
Jess and I went to a CLAY AIKEN concert last week and it was AMAZING, WONDERFUL, GREAT, AWESOME...etc. I Love CLAY SOOOOOOOO much and I would quit my job and follow him around the Country if I could!! :-)
Not too much else going on. Just enjoying spending time with my AMAZING friends and family (the little bit of family that is left in PaPa). I hope you all have a great Holiday! You are all in my thoughts!! Much Love!!
