I have been a bad trekker lately. I haven't been keeping up with my trek news for the past several days. So today I went to catch up on all the goings on in the Trek universe and I discovered something that is highly upsetting to me.
Apparently George Takei the actor who played Sulu is GAY! Read the StarTrek.com article here. I couldn't believe it! I mean, I was a little upset when Rob Halford from Judas Priest came out, but it wasn't really a tremendous shock what with the leather and all. But Sulu? I would never have suspected Sulu was gay.
Well there was this....
which kind of makes more sense to me now, but I am still in shock.
Something else about Sulu being gay is that now everytime I watch any Trek with Sulu in it, I am looking for some kind of signal or tip-off that let's on that Takei is gay.
