last night we had a small celebration for gwen, and things in the house were peachy and dandy and great!
Then we opened our mail and found a little postcard from the division of motor vehicles.
stating that our plates were rovoked? It said if you can prove insurance on or before july 25th, then you are cool. otherwise these plates are revoked and you need to turn them in immediately for 30 days.
umm its october?
we called our insurance company and we are up to date and fine, they said there was a small lapse sometime in late june, and they had to report that....but we paid it and continued our policy and it just doesnt make any sense.
I dont know alot about this sort of thing because i have spent the majority of my life using a subway, public transit, or a bike to get around. i know ntohing about how this stuff works.
I do know however, that this card is postmarked oct 18th... andi t says we have to turn in paperwork by july 25 2008...so it makes no sense. appropriately enough there is no phone number or anyone to contact about this, just an address a couple hours away.
ugh. i so do not have the money right now to rent a car for 30 days.
thats close to 1000 bucks. but i cant be walking everywhere in mid nov with 3 little children out in the cold and rain.
so say a little prayer for us, and maybe this will go away.
