For my semi-annual update...
Wow.. I haven't been on this thing in a while.
I'll try to fill in the details, but a lot has been happening.
For those of you who didn't know: I'm getting Married! Met Laura at nacirema_cult's "I've been studying Law too long, please restore my faith in humanity!" party. More details will follow.
I finally got around to updating my kitchen. Looks fantastic overall, though a few minor mistakes were made by the contractor/my sister's boyfriend. He gave me a great deal on the labor costs, but in the end, he wandered away in pursuit of more profitable jobs. Le sigh.
Still at the same job. We'll see if I decide to stay with them next year.
I kicked my previous roommate to the curb. After 2 years she still wasn't paying me what I asked for, so I let her go. She's still living in the same building, so I occasionally run into her. In regards to her stay, somebody commented, "The place was never cleaner, but never less fun to live in."
I'm trying to get into a masters program. Sadly most places look at my college grades and laugh at me. Perhaps my Alma Mater will be more forgiving. They just cost a lot.
Laura and I are looking to buy a townhouse. Nothing extravagant, but pets would be nice and the range of available pet options in my building is limited. Plus I'd like to dip my toes further into the real estate market. We've got an offer down for a shortsale house, but still waiting on bank approval.
