I'm extremely easy to please when it comes to lecturers/teachers. Boring educators? No problem (I will just pretend to pay attention while I doze off, eyes open). Disorganized educators? I can live with it. Educators with inconsistent instructions regarding assignments? Well, you'll get bugged a lot more but that's okay too. Educators who stick to ( Read more... )

Eh, that's the ONE THING I'm afraid of being to my students. Being a condescending ass who knows nothing. >>

I can't say I have much experience being the other party in this area (all I ever did was tutor people. >.>) but I suppose it helps if you go in with the mindset that you can't know everything and be ready to give the "I don't know but I'll get back to you about it," answer.

Ahaha. Asian teaching. At least the lecturers here are never afraid to admit their mistakes and if they don't know the answer to your question they will research it and get back to you (usually with an email - everyone here is email happy )

Actually, lecturers here so far had been good with that too. One of them even corrected herself in an email to all of us though nobody noticed in class.

Just.. this. augh.

Thing is, if I remember right, it's just for two classes and it's part of this dude's training module. OR SOMETHING IUNNO. I'm not sure how it works. =/

I can complain to the lecturer though, when he comes back.

Just this old lady with weird fashion sense and acts like a grandma. I haven't been paying any attention at all in class. I've missed two weeks already and the other two weeks that I went, I left early. I'm not usually like this, you see. ._.;; It seems more like moral class to me. T-T

Ah Professor Quek (or something like that)? ^^' I talked to her in her office before. She was very.. enthusiastic about her field of interest but yeah. Kinda grandmotherly. XD

Haven't had any classes under her before though.

Awww.... *pets* Will you have another lecture with him? Hope not.

I have almost the same experience when I was in college. The difference were that she's an experienced lecturer and she taught Teaching Methodology. She always bitches and there was once she threaten to knock a student's head on the wall just because he corrected her and everyone was against her.

Bad experiences, ignorant lecturers. *shakes head*

I hope not or I'll turn homicidal. *huugs*

-_-; Lecturers/educators who don't respect their students and their occupation don't deserve to be respected.
