>.> I'm too lazy to talk in detail what I did in the ten days I did not post, so point form GET-TO~!
1) Friday and Saturday (7th and 8th of Dec): Neon was busy with the Inter-College AIDS Conference. Friday was the preparation day. Got some free tickets to a Battle of the Bands event in Sunway Lagoon. I have enough for four and I'm offering. Anyone interested? ANYWAY~! Saturday was the real day. Got there at about 7.30am, carried cartons of drinks throughout the day, did facilitator-stuff etc etc. We listened to some testimonies from people living with HIV/AIDS... and some of my group members cried.
I would say that the outdoor activity kinda didn't work out since everyone cared more about getting more points by getting more signatures on the board than spreading awareness about HIV/AIDS. *ssigh* Nevermind, I guess we'll do better next time.
Overall, I suppose I can say that it was a good first conference?
2) FINALS!! >.<
Monday: Paper wasn't as hard as I thought... I'm hoping I'd do okay. ^^d
Tuesday: Screwed up the essay AND NO TIME TO FIX IT. *sigh* Here's hoping my assignments can cover for the marks I lost
Wednesday: Visited grandmother in the hospital. Nothing serious, just a bacteria wreaking havoc with her system.
Thursday: >.> Stupid paper. Stupid ambiguously worded MCQs. Worst paper out the the three. *sigh*
Friday: IS NOT HERE YET, I SHOULD STUDY HUH?
3) also, if you're reading this... THRANCE, I'M GONNA BLAME YOU FOR THIS! >.< Nevermind that I already knew about Tori Maia before you pimped it out to yasi, it's still your fault I'm actually reading Hoshi no Yakata now. >.> So get online already and deny it~ Guh. Of all the things to do to procrastinate... -_-;
4) I finished watching Darker Than Black~! ;__; November 11...
5) I'm definitely going for CF Day 2~!
6)
Recently, a college friend told me that I should be grateful for my family because my parents spoil me and I have a wonderful family (something like that). Well, normally, this wouldn't stick in people's memories, I guess... but this comment did because I actually felt a little annoyed. Just a little. I don't believe in perfect families.. so I don't believe in perfectly happy families. Call me a cynic or whatever, but not many people will air their dirty linens in public, especially in an Asian country. You'll only ever hear the common complaints of "my mother's naggy" or "my dad never allows me out. *ssigh*" but if there's anything else going on in that seemingly picture perfect, wonderfully happy family, you'll never know unless you're really close friends with that person and have known them for longer than a few years.
I understand that he has his own family problems... but I would never tell someone to be "grateful for their family" because who am I to judge? I wouldn't know. So, yes. I just.. don't like it when someone tells me to be "grateful" >.> Sorry for a bunch of tl;dr over this.
