Operation: Get Brother Obsessed With Saiunkoku is a success~! XD I feel accomplished. After whining at him for never trying anime before condemning them, he tried one ep. And then another (after more whining/pushing/guilt-tripping from me), and then another... Once he got to ep 4/5, he was HOOKED. MWAHAHAHAHA!!!
I'm getting this distinctly uncomfortable feeling that my OTP is not gonna work out. I want Ryuuki to be with Shuurei, but in order for that to happen, Ryuuki must either be dethroned or Shuurei must give up her dreams. She would not settle as just a part of his Imperial Harem, and he would not force it on her. T____T I'm not giving up on them just yet though. Maybe she can be the first Woman Official Slash Wife To Emperor?
And I really do not see the KouyuuxShuurei, so NO TO THE SUGGESTED KOUYUU-SHUUREI MARRIAGE THING! I mean, yeah, Kouyuu said he doesn't like women and he spent a whole lot of time tutoring Shuurei prior to the exams, but it's more like friends than would-be-lovers to me. And I don't think Reishin would agree to it.
.. and did I understand wrongly, or was it planned from the very beginning (after Seien's exile) to have Ryuuki on the throne?
and just what the hell happened to Seiran when he was in the Sa Province anyway? and his relationship with Ensei?
AND EP 20 IS ONE ATTACK OF CHIBI-CUTENESS which brings me to another thought. Why haven't we been treated to the chibi of Shuuei yet? I wanna see chibi Shuuei! I wanna see Young!Shuuei interacting with Young!Kouyuu~!
Everytime Ryuuki calls Seiran "ani-ue" he hits all my awww-buttons.

Hope Sakurai Takahiro will be able to stand up again from this setback on his career.
... I know that sentence sounds kinda out of the blue, and disjointed from the rest of the post, but I have stuff I want to say about this issue, but then I don't know how or what I want to say. So yeah, I hope he's able to stand up again, and soon.

eh, on brighter news, it's bulan Ramadhan, which means food, food, food~! Selamat berpuasa people! Around the corner is Mid-Autumn Festival, which means MORE FOOD~!
ETA: Fall season anime
So far, I've watched none. Think I'd wait for the subs for DN and D.Grayman because I don't need to give them the "pass or fail" test. Done BTing Yamato Nadeshiko because that anime's standing is kinda shaky with me. Didn't like the animation from official site. If first ep is not good enough, might drop to make way for other stuff.
But you know, I need to do an obligatory squeal anyway.
