I guess...In everyones life they are faced with the horrible truth of their surroundings. When you realize that the world that you imagine is infact not the world that you inhabit.
That there is no perfect hate free area. It does not exist. You aren't safe anywhere you go. This is a terrible realization.
After watching the news...4 men shot in LinconShire. One of them a police officer. Someone striving to make the community safer and this is how he is repaid. by a Bullet. Arent we a gracious community.
A Few days ago, man dismembers his girlfriend. First he strangles her after they have an arguement and then cuts up her body and strews it in random aresas of the house, such as the kitchen, stove, and garbage. Then he jumps fromt he roof of their N. Rampart apartment (less than a block from where Berry, Bobby, Brett, and I helped Mel and Weaver clean out the VooDoo shrine).
48 deaths in jefferson alone since the beginning of the year.

I...have serious doubts about staying in my city. I love the New Orleans. After spending more time uptown, I love the art and shops and food. I love the culture and the traditions. I love the hospitality...that used to be here.
However, I believe that if this pattern of violence increases...I would leave given the oppourtunity.
New Orleans...the Big easy...the city that Care forgot....
Have the people of this city forgotten how to care for each other?
