My mom came downstairs while I was fighting The Boss today and expressed concern that playing these games might be increasing my testosterone levels. I think it was only half a joke. She seemed to wonder why I was the guy fighting the woman (and getting badly owned) instead of being the woman fighting the man. She didn't really seem to take issue with Legend of Zelda or with Metal Gear Solid (the only other two of my games she's actually seen). I can only assume that Big Boss/Naked Snake's level of grizzledom comes into play somewhere. I also think that if she was going to worry about my testosterone levels, she should've started doing it a really really long time ago.
