Ramping up to...well, you know.
I don't get why it all has to happen this month, is all. I mean, this whole spring was rather slow and I didn't have a lot on my plate. But now...
The Movie: I decided I needed not to be the last one on my flist to go. So I took off work this morning and caught the 9:15 AM show at IMAX, which had the wonderful added benefit of showing the Ministry scenes in 3-D, complete with nerdy glasses. I have no spoilers. I just want to say I loved it. Others have gone into depth, but me? I'm so easy to please. Daniel's getting to be a much better actor, though.
The Book: I waver over pre-ordering or just trotting in and picking up a copy on Saturday morning.
The Con: I arrive in Toronto on Thursday, and already I'm sorry I didn't make that Wednesday. I have to hurry off on Sunday morning and fly to San Francisco to meet up with the rest of my family for our vacation.
The Last Gasp at Fanfic: Okay, so this story I just wrote? Has been on my hard drive, half-finished, since January of 2005. Sheesh. I started it while I was waiting for beta comments on 'Delicate Sound of Thunder', then set it aside and watched it get Jossed by HBP. I toyed with chucking it, but I kind of liked it. So lo and behold, I patched over the canon changes, got off my arse, and finished it. It'll surely be lost in all the other fic that you all are trying to get out before you're Jossed by DH. And it's not a heavy mind-fucky thing like I've been recently writing. It's just fun.
