Poem for Eileen

Mar 02, 2014 07:55

I can smell a mile the cologne of men.
Crows accidentally land on my antlers in stillness.
Snow shivers and ruffled fur delivers warning.
Fermented black berries do I snack. Seeds in teeth.
Apple orchard seen to be believed. Unnatural.
Free food and short fences. Ear swivel.
Holly and the ivy cannot hold me back.
Crow is needlessly petty near her nest.
The brook's water chaos dampens my hooves.
Clatter rocks will show chirping bats my location.
Rusted tire avoid like the plague. Ankles ache.
House motion light ends my foray. I hide.
Swifter path to uphill downtrodden.
As I lay sleeping with haunted inaction.
Curled up in moon's trickle mist. Heart slows.
Tail twitch eyes close veggie unseen in evergreen.
