[A look, more panicked then anything, knowing she shouldn't be here. None of this should. This wasn't the layout she designed, and when she caught the kick. She shouldn't have ended up here. Not with Mal.]

[ Her smile isn't quite a smile so much as an expression conveying pleasure. The truth is this: Mal does not know any better than Ariadne the reason she has come here, but Mal's persisting existence even when her husband is absent thrives on using what others don't know to her advantage. She pretends and because she is a dream herself, pretending is her second nature.

[ The suitcase feels heavy in his hand as he rests his shoulders against the café wall, waiting for the one part of his team he actually didn't abhor. There's a cigarette, french naturally, dangling from his lip as Erik watches the people go by.

When he spots Mal he doesn't quite smile, but there's a near thing. ] Chérie d'amour.

ABSOLUTELY THE TRUTH

[ Exiting the café, Mal, adjusts her tapered fingers around the curved handle of a long, narrow umbrella (black of course) lifting it over her head and opening it as rain starts to patter down. Walking over to Erik, she raises it enough that it's easily shielding both of them.

Her eyes glimmer with the same hint of a smile. ] I do approve of your worldliness. [ Without asking, she reaches with her free hand to pinch the cigarette and draws it to her own mouth, taking a drag, the corner of her mouth pulling upward. ] We are fast getting a reputation. Feelings?

Mal and Erik would make the best supervillians, ngl.

That depends entirely on the reputation. [ There's a certain level of mischief in his voice there, usually hidden but right now he's playing the game. ] Are they terrified yet?

[ Her laughter is surprisingly low, smooth tones that lilt with her accent even without the words to emphasize them and she purses her lips again before returning the cigarette, pressing it between Erik's lips. Her fingertips linger against his mouth for just a moment. ] Not nearly enough. It leaves something to be desired.
