(no subject)
We're on the move!... well, almost :) . We've got a contract on a house in Frisco, a mere 17 miles from my office in Dallas. I've got 6 working days left now at the crappy place I'm leaving, and I will take a vacation on 1 of those :D .
We spent several days recently in DFW, hanging out with A's family as well as our realtor. The place is home :) . I have spent the past few days dreading going back to the old office for the last few days, but I've taken a turn earlier today in how I think about them. I'm really not too worried about it now, if they don't like something I'm doing, it doesn't really matter 'cause I'm almost out of there anyway. I know management will be majorly hacked off, and I generally don't care much for confrontation, but the unpleasantness of the resignation moment is so worth being out of there that I'm dreading it less and less.
I'll do the 4 hour road trip on Monday for the home inspection on the one we're buying, so that will be a nice distraction :) . Still have a ton of paperwork to fill out about the old house for the relocation company. We're wondering now if there is some sort of conspiracy between the relocation company, appraisers, and Tulsa realtors -- everyone's numbers regarding the value of our home are amazingly close, kinda too close to seem purely independent of collusion, but hey I'm no real estate expert...
