Thousands of stars against a cerulean sky. They flicker, shimmer, rise and fall, dancing in each other’s silence. The multi-hued become subdued and a giant flake of white lands upon my nose. It tickles and blurs before alighting in search of another nectar. Lying down on a blanket surrounded by butterflies in the middle of a park on a summer afternoon is one of the best things you can do.
I had my eyebrows shaved off for an editorial piece last week; they were replaced with glitter and jewels. If you’re ever given the chance to have this done say no. It isn’t so bad not having eyebrows but the stubble when they return is ugly and impossible. It was worth it for the pictures, I'm a snow angel in the December French Vogue, an angel with sparkles for eyebrows. It helps me see you in a whole new light.
Glastonbury. Muddy feet. Not enough sleep. Too much cheap beer. Losing friends in the crowd. Dancing to loud music for hours. Always worth it. Highlights: Babyshambles, Interpol, Primal Scream, and Bloc Party.
