Aah, Sundays. The day before Monday, the day of doom and dread which signals the return to school/work/work-related stress/actually doing anything useful ever again. What larks.
Today, I shall sit myself down and apply myself with good grace to the work I have so far neglected abysmally over the last two weeks.
*sighs, flexes fingers*
But wait! No, you stupid girl, you should have done it before! For today you must spend the hours in penance for your laziness by realising that very VERY important forms affecting your entire future and so on are due in at Oxford tomorrow. Seeing as Sunday, the foreshadower of doom and dread etc, is a day where there is no post. Your ineptitude and incompetence strike again. No homework completion and ensuing smugness for you! You can make the journey up there to deliver them yourself instead, ha ha ha...
Ah, I guess I can read on the journey, but I can't help feeling that sometimes I truly do make life more difficult for myself. Twat.

Anyway, I realise I haven't updated for a while, and you all must be woefully desolate when so deprived of my uplifting presence on lj. Soooo... Holidays have been quite nice, actually. No rowing with family, save last night when we had said crisis about forms, and as such these weeks have been pretty uneventful. New Year's Eve, or what I remember of it, was good, although I never want to be that drunk again (at least for a loooong time) as even the thought of spirits makes me feel slightly queasy. Fun. Also embarrassing.
Moving swiftly on - we're quite a few steps closer to realising our plans of going to Australia in July, which is exciting. I've never had to plan a holiday before, so we'll see how it goes, but it actually seems a possible reality now. Flight prices are horrendous, but Tara's mum has very many useful people and will hopefully be able to get us a good deal. Plus we're planning to stay with some of my mum's friends who live on a sheep ranch in the outback, where it's like being a cowboy or something. Heheheh. Might have to brush up on my horse-riding skills, but then again, they might use quad-bikes, which is equally exciting!
Well, I should actually go and do something useful now, but seeing as Monday looms large on the horizon, I'll see you rather soon.
Oh, and Happy New Year to you all x x x
