Safe Arrival in N'Awlins
I am not here for my usual daiquiri infused tourist trap trotting, no, it's takin' care o' business time. My beloved sister-from-another-mother has had another incident of cancer and so I am here to sit on her and make sure she eats and takes her meds and heals from surgery and to change the DVD in the player and otherwise ride herd on her. I am not sure either of us are ready for it but it's what we do. So much girl time we won't know what to do with ourselves. I am happy to have the free time to do it, frankly, one of the blessings of being basically jobless is that I can see the people I love when I want. Hooray for the tax refund that allowed me to come here and hooray for cheap flights on Southwest. Now, to finish unpacking and then get into bed because OMG what a long damn day. The advantage of using a cane full time though is that I get treated really nice at the airports. Yay? The jury is out on that still, I think.
