The sun has gone down, there are FOUR DAYS LEFT.
IS THIS DAY OVER YET!!?? Holy Gods, it needs to be. Had a bit of a breakdown because I had fourteen things to do today and enough time and manpower for maybe three of them. The wonderful and lucky thing about the relationship I have with my boss is I can say to her, "you know what, I am overwhelmed and understaffed and need everything to stop for one minute" and it does. We talk a bit and reprioritize and then realize that everything will still be there tomorrow and the world will not end if it is. A hug and a grin and we are back on track and happy again to be alive and working and joyful. I won't ever be lucky enough to have a boss as cool as this again, and I know that. It helps that we think alike and she knows that it is not her goals for me I am freaking out about not meeting but my own, and she reminds me to keep calm and think of daiquiris.
In happier news, I got lovely virtual gifts on my info page from lovely friends who know how to make me smile and laugh. I got a lovely picture that will arrive in the mail someday soon and make me squee all over again. AND OH MY GOD!!! I almost forgot!!! Ray gave me chocolate. *squee* So all in all, not as bad a day as it might have been.
