Yay! It's Decoratin' Day!
It's time to decorate for Chrimmas! YAY!
When I was little I loved the Christmas specials on TV, when it was time for the Bing Crosby/Bob Hope Christmas special, I knew it was really really close to time for Santa to come with presents. I can remember watching those specials every year. When Bing died I was certain we could never have Christmas again because how could we ever have Christmas without a new Bing-n-Bob special? My mother explained that while Bing was dead, he would never really be gone as long as we remembered him in our hearts. That is a good piece of advice I have remembered ever since and it has always given me comfort when I am missing dead loved ones.
Here is a You Tube of one of my favourite moments from a Big Crosby Christmas Special. I remember watching this when it first was on TV. I wasn't too sure who the young guy was but the song was so pretty I didn't care. Of course, another decade later I would know exactly who that young guy was and be very happy to know, thankyouverymuch.
