Why do people use either too many words when one will do or (and sometimes and) use words they obviously do not understand the meaning of and use incorrectly (and annoyingly) as a result? (not unlike this sentence here)
What part of a commercial depicting guys singing at 2something am (as indicated in the corner of the screen) about the glories of viagra and how happy it makes their women that they can get it up again makes sense? At 2am, shouldn't they be home enjoying the effects of that viagra with the very women they are singing about pleasing rather than hanging out together? Or is the answer really just that obvious? Yeah, I know.
Have you seen the credit card commercial where the foreign speaking folks may or may not be making fun of the guy with the super hero on his credit card? First, we don't know what the foreign speaking folk are saying, they might be admiring the super hero. (.:Edit:. ok, maybe there are subtitles I haven't seen, but if Mark Harmon or William Peterson isn't actually ON the screen, I am not looking at the TV) Next, if the guy owns a comic book store or comic book publishing house, it might be good advertising to have a super hero on the card. And last, his companion pays with her "grown up" gold card AFTER the foreign dinner guests leave, so what is the point then if they can't see her grown up credit card?
