Emotional and Financial Exhaustion: What I am feeling this weekend
On the Upside: I got to meet Raymond Buckland (dood! Ray Buckland sat in my office chair!) though I didn't stay for his talk since I was feeling really really gawdawful. And I got to meet Z. Budapest, and her talk was pretty cool. I got my bathroom unpacked and some pictures up in my bedroom and the shelves are all in the bookcases, but no books on them yet. I can't get to the books yet, they are in the first layer of boxes in the garage, I have two layers to get through before I can get to the book stack. Gah.
In the For What It's Worth Department: MDB says he is coming to visit the last weekend of July. Wagers on if he gets sent to Baton Rouge or Norfolk instead? Anybody? And should I actually take the time off as if I believe he is really going to arrive, or would that utterly jinx it and guarantee that he will get sent somedamnplace else? Maybe tomorrow I will wake up without my pessimism and distrust of circumstances. ... one can always hope.
