wow.

I went out to the back porch at work to smoke and saw a hawk eating the hindquarters of something furry and rigor-stiff on the edge of the lawn. Four parking spaces from where I was standing.

wow.

It was weirdly fascinating.

Last month, I saw a wolf eating a bison carcass. It was a very very cool thing. All part of nature.

What -- a hawk, here??? Huh.

I've seen foxes... the bunnies attract them. (And as you know, we have so very many bunnies here....) But I didn't think we had hawks this far into the 'burbs.

Hope it was a bunnie, and not someone's kitty....

yeah, no kidding! I looked at pictures online, I think it was a red tailed hawk, that is the picture that looked the closest.

Maybe he was lost?
