We I got back from Boston today. It was an awesome trip. My flight to everywhere I go seems to get canceled though. Delta tried to screw me by telling me there was nothing they could do when my flight was canceled but I bitched enough and they got me on a Air Tran flight. Air Tran was a lot better than I thought it would be. The carriers I seem to have trouble with when I travel seem to always be Delta and United. Never had trouble with US Airways or American. Got in Boston on Friday with enough time to go to my hotel and change for the game at Fenway. I highly recomend the Four Points Sheraton, it was a good hotel and offered 24 shuttle service to the T and the airport. The weird thing about the T was some stations had tickets and the others required tokens. I wonder why it is not a unified system. Anyways I got to Fenway for my first game there ever. It was almost a religious experience. I was on the monster for my first game and it was a great view. The monster did not seem as high up when I was up there as I thought it would be. I felt sorry for Manny with all the boo'ing. Had a good look at when Tori got hurt and when Olerud hit the grand slam. I am happy the Sox won at my first trip to a Sox game a Fenway. I got the chills when I heard dirty water at fenway because of course it was the first time in person. The next day was even better. I found it very easy to talk to people in Boston. It almost felt like a second home. People would just start talking to you about the Sox. I walked around Fenway before the Saturday game and I arrived at the right time when the players were arriving. I got to see all the players close up. While outside a couple friends directed me to the right place a Damon and Mirabelli came out and signed autographs and shook hands. Damon was only siging for the kiddies which is cool but I did shake his hand.Shook Belli's hand and he signed my Sox cap to. Manny was the last to arrive and he had a ton of security around him so he never came out. Bronson did wave and say thanks when I yelled great game last night. After that thrill I entered the stadium and sat down in the filed box seats I had this time. They rolled out the big monster flag which was cool. This was Kapler's first game back. You could tell he was excited to be back and he came over and signed autographs for the kiddies and I shook his hand too. Went with a group of people I met at the game to the beer works. Cool place but some of the gals got on my nerves by asking me to talk all the time because they just love my accent. A couple of them did by me drinks which was cool but odd. Must be a Northern thing because not to many gals down here buy guys drinks least that I seen anyways. I am not complaining though. One thing I though was a steriotype was the use of wicked. I heard it so much I think it must be a truth. Only half the people I talked to actually had the "Boston accent". Anyways I learned a lot and had a great time. I plan on making the voyage next year and many years to come. Pictures from Saturday's and Sunday's game below under cut as well as the pics from right before I met Damon,Kapler, and Belli
