Okay folks, I know I've comments to reply to and what not - just, I'm going into hospital for a couple of days. Now, there's nothing wrong exactly, it's actually a really good thing. Just summat that has to be fixed and that can be now. So, yaay! In a way. Anyway, I won't go into the details because it's one of those embarrassing girly things. Yes ( Read more... )

Mm. I like conflicted Billy. I also love that you like the Doves enough to use that for a title :-)

Doves are a great band. Black and White town is one of my faves of all time. Specially when I'm away from home.

Thanks for the comment, love! :)

My favourite is Friday's Dust. It gives me the chills in a good way, hehe.

"Pounding," is another good one. Good to see more people into such a good indie band.

Oh God, I used to be like the Queen of Indie for a few years. Not so much anymore, but I have six thousand songs on my iTunes and most of them are indie, haha.

Ah, me too. Indies where my heart was, is and ever shall be, methinks. But I'm getting into alot of dance music lately, like synth bands - New Order, Pet Shop Boys et al.

Also, gregorian chant music...*facepalm* Delerium are pretty good chill out music, I swear. It's like being in a monastery. *facepalm again*

Gregorian CHANT music???

Hahahahaa.

Actually I have a few Delerium songs on my iTunes, but they're all with another female vocalist featured. With that many songs, I have a lot of stuff I haven't listened to. I'm not really into dance music, but it can be good for a certain mood as background or something. These days I'm listening to more classical, and a lot of classic rock/80s/90s rock for nostalgia.

Delerium without the vocals is just as good and they do a fine line in gregorian chant music. I love it! I light a few candles, turn on the stereo and read fic like they did in victorian times. *nods*

The 80's/90's stuff is great for nostalgia. Even the shite bubble gum stuff can make you smile if it reminds of you being 10 years old, i find.

Yeah, you know those Victorians were slashing it up. They were writing... Oscar/Lord Alfred Douglas. Oh yeah.

I like Third Eye Blind for that. I want something eeeeelse to get me throuuuugh this laaaaaaaaayfe.

Lord Alfred Douglas's great great nephew hooked me up with some poetry of his before. He was a really eccentric, wonderful man - an impoverished aristocrat. And from the bio I've read of Lord Alfred and the pictures I've seen of him, he was bloody gorgeous! They would've been the original slash pairing. lol. Would've been a great little underground earner.

I've never heard Third Eye Blinds music but I've heard *of* them. Go me. *facepalm*
