The PerishersWhen I called Fred Meyer a week and a half ago, they told me that I would be working 1:00-10:00 Sunday. Turns out they lied, as I found out when I woke up on time, suited up in FM gear, and walked down there. I'm actually working tomorrow 1:00-10:00, and I only have 20 hours this week. Remind me why I drove for freaking 2+ hours to get a drug test again.
Anyway, I have been totally non-productive today. This is because I am out of school, and I desperately don't want to do work. My mind is saying, "Do nothing do nothing do nothing" and my body is saying, "I have to be on my feet 8 hours tomorrow, screw doing anything today." So I've done nothing. Dad and I went to see a movie (can't remember the title), and it was very slow, although I liked the message (about some reporter who took on McCarthy).
So I've been totally wasting time all day, and towards the end of the day I ran out of things to do. This was problematic, because if I have nothing to do then that means I have to work on the ASWC calendar website or some of my woefully behind IMG editing. Given that there isn't that much to do around the house and I needed a way to procrastinate, I finally caved and signed up for Facebook. It wasn't very exciting. Oh well. Writing a profile was a nice waste of a half-hour (you wouldn't believe how slowly this computer can load a simple page). Maybe I'll fight with this stupid machine and add some friends tomorrow. Or maybe Eldest will actually get good. Here's hoping.
And that's about it. Drive across the state went well, the cat underwent a personality change and has decided that she loves to sit on my lap (super annoying, since she keeps cutting off the circulation to my legs), and the space heater in my room is keeping me toasty and happy while icicles form in the rest of the house. Plus I discovered an old version of Opera online, so I'm able to do tabbed browsing on this old junky iMac (even if it is horrendously slow, it's better than IE).
