Well, I’m finally on winter break. It couldn’t have come soon enough, I reeeeeally needed to get away from the whole school scene. That all gets old pretty quickly, I’m very much enjoying being home. I’ve been doing a lot of thinking over break, trying to get my life back together, figure out what’s important, what’s bringing me down. I feel like I’ve spent these last few months worrying too much about everyone else (you know- don’t do that, they’ll get upset, don’t say this, he’ll feel bad) and I’ve come to the realization that these things really aren’t my problem. Life’s hard, get a helmet, right? Heh I just feel like concentrating so much energy on everyone else doesn’t leave enough for me and as a result, my life is at a standstill. It’s like I’m just going through the motions everyday and not getting anywhere.
Been hanging out with Christina and Nancy a lot over break and I just don’t know what I’d do without them, you guys are the bestest! :) It’s nice to just be able to hang out and not feel like I’m being monitored or I’m being pulled into other people’s personal drama without ever being told to my face. It really makes things awkward and doesn’t do anyone any good. I’m glad I have some time away to try to get myself back together. Hopefully next semester will be better and I won’t be constantly counting down the days until the weekend heh
I’ve been listening to some old school Green Day a lot lately, it’s like revisiting my youth haha It’s weird though how much I’ve always related to them both in the past and now. I think they’re one of the few bands that I genuinely felt a connection with in the majority of their music, especially Dookie (…obviously haha). They’ve changed so much over the years but are still good. And Billie Joe is still hot. lol Especially in “Boulevard of Broken Dreams" (one of their best videos, so far)...
Oh, and I finally saw the Phantom of the Opera and loooved it! It was incredible and I highly recommend it if you’re a phan (teehee GET IT?!?!?!?) of the music or even if you’re not. Very well done. And on a far less mature note (it just needs to be said), daaaayyyum, that Phantom was haawwt! He can take me down to his dungeon anytime...har har har lol (Plus bonus points for tight pants and Scottish accent) Teeheehee
Anywho, been having a great vacation, got to see the girls, Cole, Joe, Katie, Kim- good times. :) My asshole boss won’t give me any work but I’m working on something else, hopefully I’ll have a job next semester so I won’t have to work the desk. Being poor sucks, I want to win the lottery...the REAL one, Nancy...hehe
