Hi Livejournal!!! Remember me??
So I’ve been very busy watching Red Sox and rioting. lol My homework has really taken a dive this week but seriously, I have priorities. Like seeing my boys win!! And seeing A-Rod strike out a lot and cheat!! And Jason Varitek’s thighs! teehee WE’RE GOING TO THE WORLD SERIES!!!!!!! I don’t want to take COMPLETE credit for this, however, I HAVE been wearing my lucky Kevin Millar shirt and Sims was not allowed to move anything on my desk all week, so, well…you're welcome! I’m a nerd, I can’t help it. I love my Red Sox! :)
The riots here at UMD were crazy as usual. On Tuesday there were like 75 cops in riot gear with mace, dogs, batons- the whole deal. Someone from my dorm tried to pet one of the dogs…there must be a special ed part of my dorm that I don’t know about…It was fun times except when the cops sprayed mace at the kid in front of us and tackled him and then turned to face us and whipped out their batons (ooo that sounds so dirty...lol). And then when we backed up, we got a spray of mace from the wind and all started choking. SCORE…not…
Last night’s was the best, because people were less about throwing chairs through the windows and more into celebrating. Somebody forgot to point this out to the 150,000,000 cops who showed up, though. They had tear gas, rubber bullets, and stun grenades?!?! Who invited stun grenades, I was not a fan!! They just started marching towards us and throwing them into the crowd, it felt like we were in friggin Iraq…But me, Emily and Allison made it onto Marc’s riot video, we’re movie stars!!!!! hehe
Side note: I’d just like to point out that I have loved Mark Bellhorn since the beginning, none of this “oh he got a hit, he’s so great” bandwagon stuff!! lol I admit that I may have initially been drawn to his hotness, his pretty hair and nice calves…but that's INITIALLY. Oh, and he does not ruin friendships, contrary to popular belief.
