The infidelity continues...

First it was Anna's restaurant. Now, I've slept over at another girl's house. My infidelity knows no bounds it would seem. Drunk georges sleeping in another girls room while people were engaged in odd sexual activities in cars and other rooms of the house.

...

Ok, so it was a house party and I slept on Kirsten's floor on a sketchy foam thing. All the people were her younger sister's friends who can't go home cause they are still youngins'. So the story goes that I went to a Peter Gabriel concert (don't ask) and got convinced to make the long, mysterious trek out to the wastelands of Mississauga so that I could attend a house party at Kirsten's house. A few people I knew were there, but a few had left by then cause of jobs/life/etc and the fact that they had cars. I, on the other hand, got there at 12:30 am after an hour long trip that consisted of me taking the GO train, Mississauge Transit, then walking a while. I didn't even have change for the bus, so I ended up convincing the driver to let me on for free because, really, it was 12:00am and I looked like a lost suburban kid in the wrong end of town.

I get there, promptly drink 6-8 beers, play drinking games and things, then everyone I know leaves and it's me and Kirsten and fifteen 16-17 year olds. Despite all that I had a pretty good time and the commute was interesting.

Tonight I saw Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. Holy crap, it was pretty damn cool. It, of course, can't overcome the strong emotional attachment I have to the time-honored action classic that is Terminator 2: Judgement Day, but I will grant that they did a very good job in continuing the story.
My short and sweet review is:

A good sci-fi movie and a good action movie in one, can't beat that. A very worthy sequel to the pinnacle of 90's action movies. The action scenes were not as plot-driven as in T2, but still impressive. I thought the movie could have stood to be about 45 minutes longer so they could flesh out some character and plot details. You could really understand and empathize with Sarah Connor's personal demons in T2, but it's hard to say the same for John in T3. Overall, I liked it much more than I expected to. I'll definitely see it again.

Until next time.
