leaving new york for a few days. any suggestions?
So, it seems that even with paying off my credit cards, spending at least $80 a weekend on going out, eating out almost every meal, and buying more Criterion DVDs than I could ever possibly need (no wait, I actually do need them for my thesis), my student loan money and the money I'm making at the Strand is not drying up at all. I'm taking vacation the 19th through the 27th of this month, in part to get my thesis proposal written, but now I kinda want to go somewhere for a few days. The problem is that I have no idea where to go or what to do. I could go to Vermont to visit my parents, but I wouldn't have anything to do there, and I couldn't smoke cigarettes around them. I could go back to Ohio, but again nothing to do there except see people who will be in school. All my DC friends will be in Europe that week, so I can't go there. Ummm, so what do I do and where do I go? Montreal? Does anybody have any suggestions? Does anybody want to go anywhere?
