The garden in August.

The opium poppies having gone over, I ripped them out, along with the borage and a barrowload of weeds, shuffled a few things around to fill the gaps (a bit) and the result is something more like what I intended in the first instance, green and white, more leaves than flowers.








The brugmansia is flowering as well as it ever has. Last night the scent was wafting in through the open window. Gorgeous. The last picture there is Cobaea scandens "alba", the cup and saucer plant. It's gone apeshit - clambering about all over the place. Technical term there. It must have grown twenty feet in under three months.
