This past weekend was the 36th anniversary of Woodstock. Wow. Was it really that long ago? Despite getting spiked with acid (how the hell did the ice cubes get affected too?), I do remember it quite vividly. I brought my wife Emily with me, poor thing had to sit with us the whole time, waiting for our turn to get up onstage. I think the thing I remember the most is the people. Not anyone specifically in the crowd, just lots and lots of people. I remember sitting up on a fence and just looking out into the crowd and seeing a sea of people. It seemed infinite. And I had to perform for all of them. I admit, I got a little bit of stage fright prior to going on. Then Ronnie told me, "George, do you think any of these people know what's going on?" and that helped. Us Brits didn't get the whole 'hippie' movement. Didn't Pete say something about that, not understanding how these people could sit in the mud, smoking pot, and think they're changing the world? I agree with that. Sitting around and talking about how you want the world to be isn't going to get anything done. You have to go out and do something to make a difference. Wow, I didn't realize I would be getting philosophical with that!

Nearly forgot...happy birthday to the one and only Keith Moon! Because Lord know what we'd do if there were two of you! Many happy returns!
