Ok I'm going to just come out and say it, I have a confession to make. I feel lost.
Now you may be saying to yourselves he's talking about his love life, but that's not it I'm in a happy relationship with an awesome girlfriend. Then it must be school, and well that's not it either. To be honest I know where I stand with school, there is one week left and I hope I pass all of my classes. Well then what is it.
I have no games to play... There I said it I know it sounds very nerdy and out there but it's true. I'm not excited over any game that's comming out over the summer or the Christmas season. It is really killing me. I haven't felt the need to preorder and games. Even other friends are feeling this pain it's not only me. A friend looking over one of my gameonformer mags stops reading looks over to me and says wait resident evil 5 came out already (it was the "game of the month"), I looked over to him and on the most unenthusiastic way gave a "huh" and said "yeah it's just re4 but shorter and co-op". That's it, that's our gameof the month, if I can't say anything good about the game, or proporly insult the everliving shit out of it it's no game of the month. I feel that if gameinformer really wanted to stick it to the developers and writers and tell them to make better games, they should just publish "there are no games this month that stand up to the other quality titles of this year so there is no "game of the month".
But that is not the only problem that I'm having with the gaming world. Games aren't tailored to the "gamers" anymore. Now I don't normaly listen to the YouTube hate spewing fanboys who think there their opinion is the end all be all, but some of them are starting to make some sense. One guy in perticular (will add his you tube video later) makes some good points where I agree with 3/4 of what he said. Most games out now are set up for the "chad" gamers, the type of gamers who preorder every madden and claim they are the shit at halo3 and can kill all their bros. I'm tired of this I want games that invoke thought and take skill to win.

Sorry for the length but next point. Stop patching the crap out of games. Game developers and programers, using new technology called the interwebs, will ever so often when a glitch is found in a game patch it. This is all good and well but they wouldent have to do this so often if they didn't rush the game out to make their money. But fixing the games bugs is not the problem at hand, the problem is the over patching. Game programers are patching their games for the worst reasons. Let's take gears of war 2, this is a perfect example of a game that was patched so much they ruined a decent game. Because the chad gamers QQ'd about two pieces and supermans epic did a complete overhaul on the games mechanics and changed how the entire game is played. It might as well be called gears of was 2.5.
This is what I feel is the problem with the gameing industry. The term gamers has been taken away from the people who really live up to the name gamer. It's gone main stream we've gone from buying our game teeshirts from the orderforms in the back of fame manuels and nintendo powers to going to the local hot topic/newbury to pick up the "mario vintage tee", or the ever so emo chic "rainbow colored zip up hoodie with all the koopas on it". Gameing has ripped away and even been shoved into clothing items where the wearer of the item has no idea that the charactor they are wearing comes from a game. Gamers have to rise up and take back what was once theirs.
Buy you know as well as I do that this will never happens and the industry will continue to become money hungry and ignore their true fans.
Ps I hate gamefaq.com for their polls. They are run by chads and the voters are all chads as well.
Pps I'm going to start to use chad as an insult to fake gamers. We shall once again be leet.
