Two Valentine's Day stories? You're so lucky! ;)
Nadine and Miranda's fifth wedding anniversary was on February 10, so I thought that deserved something special. Since it was going to be a Valentine's story, I wanted to cover a different kind of love (although romantic love does get a shout-out with the opening scene where Miranda wakes Nadine up). This time it's the love between Nadine and her father, who is an old man set in old ways who is at least trying to be better for his daughter's sake.
I was going to wait until I had a special reveal to post alongside the story, but since it turned out to be more Nadine and her father than Nadine and Miranda, I thought I'd hold off. But be on the lookout for something special soon!
Summary: Nadine's parents give her and Miranda the anniversary gift of a Valentine's weekend in Seattle, where Nadine and her father have a long overdue conversation. (3,067 words)
