1) Even if they are fictional, I am so glad someone else is going to be doing this. My roommates and I are talking about waking up at 3 AM on the last day of classes to watch. I'm so glad my 10 AM class was rescheduled to 7:30 PM.

I couldn't resist the draw of having Helen watch! It appealed heavily to me. She's still a "hometown" girl, and that means London. :D As for the gun bum... any and all references I can make to it, I will.

And yes! Of COURSE Helen knew Queen Liz II. ;-D

Helen's an old enough Brit to still give a damn about the Royal Family… unlike most of the rest of us who're happy for the extra day off work, but want nothing more to do with the bloody waste of time and space.

An editorial on our local news said we were watching glorified welfare recipients, but that's Oklahoma/America. ;-D And Helen, I'm sure, is at least an acquaintance to the royal family. If she hung out with Presidents, I'm sure she watched Queen Elizabeth II play in the garden as a little girl. ;-D

Oh, I have no doubt of Helen knowing the family. :-)

I suspect one could probably write something interesting about Helen and the royals in London during the Blitz of WWII. (When Helen wasn't actively trying to get blown up while saving abnormals, that is!)

Hehehehe great little fic. This is one of those self indulgent occasions because even though I'm fairly anti-monarchy most of the time, I can't help myself and I will be tuning anyway! That Helen knows who Cat Deeley is makes me ROFL!

I had to go shopping today (a pastime I try to avoid) and was presented with the hideous sight of the equine countenance of his lordship and his bird printed into the centre of the union jack, plastered all over the mall. At least you don't have to be surrounded by all the bunting and commerative teacups!

Yeah, I don't get America's fascination with it. Our coverage feels like people looking over the fence into the backyard of someone who is doing something more interesting than we are. Americans = Earth's rednecks. ;-D

One guy was talking about it and said, "I'll tell you what I tell my wife when she wants to drag me to a regular wedding... we don't even know these people. And after we sit through the ceremony, they're not even going to feed us!"
