Well I'm happy that you were so inspired to write it then! I liked the 6th sense but loved this story even more. It's... excellent on so many levels. Its sweet and poignant and subtle. Its good and just a little.. sad, too. It's moving.

lol there's no way that reading your 100 stories was as hard for me as it was hard for you to write them... but i have to agree in a way, sometimes reading is hard... I'll go as far as saying that sometimes it's actually painful to read some stories cause they suck so much (not the plot but the poor writting: out of character, bad dialogue, no description, etc)

You on the other hand... it has been painful at times too but in a good way. Cause it was emotionally painful or desperately sad. You have a way to write these 2 that is so spot on, subtle, it's easy to get involved in your stories and picture them as if the story is playing before my eyes.

I was this close to do a happy dance when i read that you were gonna write me a fic! :)
It's on april 15th but I think you already know it by now, considering your other message... Okay I'm rambling.

On this note, I'm gonna go to bed now, and I hope you're doing very well :)

Doing a mental happy dance in your honor,
M.

The idea of having Kate bodyguard someone has been floating since Story 30 or so. The banner pic was about halfway through, and the "This is a Season 3 story and Kate's really dead" was ALWAYS there. I just never thought I'd DO it. And when they all came together... well. Kismet ;-D

It's different levels of hard, sure, but still. A challenge either way, methinks!

Such a great compliment. *bows to you* I think it's how I write it. I picture it myself so that it can play in my head like an episode. Hopefully that's why it reads so easily. It's also why, in order to write my original stuff, I actually have to cast actors as my original characters so I can visualize them accurately ;-D

I was this close to do a happy dance when i read that you were gonna write me a fic! :)

Aww. So no happy dance? *pouts* ;-D

It's on april 15th but I think you already know it by now, considering your other message... Okay I'm rambling.

But you're rambling about my greatness. Please, don't stop! *bats eyelashes at you* ;-D

On this note, I'm gonna go to bed now, and I hope you're doing very well :)

I was sick on Thursday, but better by Friday. But yes, doing 100% better right now! :D

Doing a mental happy dance in your honor,

*glee!* :D

The problem with being done with the 100 stories is now when I want to write, I don't have any prompts to fall back on! I just sit and stare at the computer and tell the muse, "You're on your own" and it panics ;-D

Wow that is a long time to have an idea float around without using it! But I'm glad that it didn't come to fruition until just now... I feel it was an excellent way to finalize everything (That being said, dont take finalize to be so... final... write again!)

It makes me smile maybe more than it should, but I too have to actually picture actors or ppl i know when i write... But don't get me wrong I'm in no way comparing myself to you and your greatness ;)

At the risk of sounding completely dorky... fine, i did do that happy dance. But it seems to make you happy so I'll swallow my pride and let you make a bigger dork out of me :) A rambling, dorky reader in awe.

I'm glad that youre doing better! I didnt feel all that good myself earlier this week and skipped work monday and tuesday as a result. But I too am better now :)

Does it really help to have one word prompts? Maybe I can try to come up with something for you? I wouldnt want you to stop writing cause youre in panic mode :)

*nods* It was an excellent 100th story, IMO. Sad, poignant, a "good-bye" sort of thing. But not a FINAL good-bye! ;-D Before I knew how craaaazy people would get about these, I intended to title the 100th story "The Big Good-bye" as a meta thing. But then I realized I would have a mutiny on my hands, so... ;-D

Oh, pshaw. Greatness smeatness ;-D

My life now has meaning! *laaaa* ;-D

Excellent! Seems to be going around, unfortunately. I don't seem to have infected anyone during my illness (maybe a stranger at the post office, but who cares about THEM? ;-D)

Does it really help to have one word prompts? Maybe I can try to come up with something for you? I wouldnt want you to stop writing cause youre in panic mode :)

It does and it doesn't. I mean, when I was at a loss to write anything, I would go and look at the Little Damn Table and see what needed filled. "Blue, blue, something about blue... ocean? A dress. Oh, that picture of Sasha in the blue dress that I have. Blue dress, at the ocean..."

Okay, it's NEVER that simple. ;-D But still, it sometimes DOES help to have the prompt to kind of push you into thinking about a plot. Easier than starting from scratch, anyway. It's why I hound challenge boards and am a member of the fic_on_demand community (also a member there because, like I said, I find it hard to say no to a requested fic ;-D).

But hey, if you wanna give me a prompt, it IS your birthday present! :D

"the big good bye" uh?
I'm sure you could have make that work pretty easily, but I'm glad you went with "The Bodyguard". I'm sure the message of the story, the plot, all of it could have been the same and been great, but "the big good bye" is more... in your face. And in that regard, it seems to me that "the bodyguard" suits you more. Its more subtle... it's more you.

It's terrific that your life now has meaning... what did you ever do without me? umm? Do tell;)

And no... we don't care if the ppl at the post office get sick, your fault of not. As long as WE are doing better... that's all that matters ;)

I'm not sure I have a propt for my own story... it would be like telling you exactly what to buy me for my bday, what store to go to and what aisle it's at... On the other hand, I can tell you that I would like it to be just like most of your stories... a little bit of sweetness, cuteness, humour, a touch of sarcasm and subtlety... a case, or not, up to you. But... no 3way with Paula Cassidy or anyone else ;) I have faith in you so just go with what you want !

I'll try to come up with prompts for you to use in other stories though :)

*nods* Aww, thanks! :D Nice to know I'm not the "bludgeon you with the moral" kind of guy ;-D

Veeeeery little. I went to Canada once. And the rest is too boring to mention. *G*

LOL, drat! *deletes the 3,000 words of Kate/Paula/Abby he'd already written* ;-D I do have an inkling of an idea, though... *keeps it secret*

I'll try to come up with prompts for you to use in other stories though :)

Slave-driver!

And you can go to bed without worry because I am headed that way myself! :D Sleep well! Try not to fall asleep at work! ;-D

Bludgeon? I'm afraid you're gonna have to explain that one :) you know... me being french and all. Not familiar with that one. Which reminds me... I want to ask you if your user name meant something, and how you pronounce that.

LOL, i feel like i should congratulate you for your border-crossing accomplishement ;) where did you go exactly? I went to the USA a bunch of times... it's pretty much something i will keep doing until i move there :)

Veeeery funny. I know you wouldn't delete a 3000 words chunk of a story on my account ;) You're a writer, you write... you'd still post it, and pass it as a regular piece of work. And then you'd write me another one ;)

I'm not a slave-driver *pouts*
I'm just.. interested in your development? And to achieve that you have to practice your skill. ;)
I'm more like an ego booster.
Or an encouraging, avid reader.

I don't work tomorrow, but I will think of going to bed anyway :) Goodnight to you, Mr.Writer.
Sweet deams :)

Bludgeon = to whack someone over the head with. :D Or something like that. *G*

As for my user name, it's pronounced like John NCIS. Because Geonn is my first name. Don't ask me where it came from, because it's not French or Cajun or anything. I've never met or even heard of the name from anywhere and my PARENTS can't even agree on where they got the inspiration. But it's unique and, after many many many years of living with it, I've decided I LIKE having a unique name ;-D

I went to Vancouver for a Stargate SG-1 convention! I actually got to tour the set of the SGC (and touched the Stargate! I TOUCHED THE FREAKING STARGATE!! ahem...) If you don't follow SG-1, it's the same as getting to visit the NCIS set (only so much cooler. Cause there's a STARGATE). ;-D

Both EXCELLENT things! :D
