1pm stretch and yawn. Depart Toledo. 4 hour drive to Chicago. sunny, 45 degrees F. sunday traffic. the Midwest is so flat, you can see chicago’s skyline and still be a 45 minute drive away. D-double’s new ride. bassment records. the mall. Lupe Fiasco all day. soundcheck. curry fries and joakim noah. Q’s spot, northside. Used to be cornerstore with an arcade that dave used to skip church to go to. youtube fights. aeon flux. coffee and cigs. everybody in chicago smokes parliaments. dj backside, no homo. The Abbey Pub. the folkers and the kasamas. 35 minute performance, forgot freewheelin/the red. one beer and one rum & coke and that’s it. A lightweight again. SubT, closed. late night Mexican food. Nomo. D Doouble’s ancestral compound. geo and sabzi under construction (i.e. “building”) 3am - 730am. he’s fat. origin of the family and the state. 9 cigarettes, sunrise, cold shower, crash.
