Dearest Santa, I've decided to turn materialistic this Christmas and ask for the following things, not for other people to give me, but for me to buy on my own next year when I save up enough.
This year was fabulous because I got three things that I've saved up for all year:
1. A Canon Powershot S2 to replace my dad's Powershot S1 that I lost during a client meeting last year
2. A Mac Book Pro as replacement for my Powerbook so I could finally do CAD, 3d Max and Viz anywhere!
3. A P990i to replace the phone that was stolen a few months ago on my way up the elevator to the office (I have a new number guys, for those who still don't know give me a holler)
4. An LV Mono Large Noe
5. A fabulous trip to Hongkong with
fishtailparka and his beautiful family
And I did this all by myself! Hohoho. I worked hard for each and every one of them and I couldn't be prouder.
Anyhow, next year I would like:
1. A Canon 400D for more photo-whoring and a new career that I'll announce next year
2. An internship with Renzo Piano/FLW's Taliesin/Rem Koolhaas/Zaha Hadid/Frank Gehry/Daniel Libeskind/Santiago Calatrava
3. A trip to Boracay with my love (this is rather definite)
4. Wacom Intuous3 6x8 because a tablet can never be big enough
5. An LV Multicolor Speedy 25/30
6. A Chanel 2.55
7. A Fendi Spy (okay, okay. Just Just 3 major bag purchases in a year)
8. A trip around Asia this summer (Hello Cambodia, India, Vietnam and Thailand)
9. To get my/our own condo unit :-)
10. Start my own design office (or at least finish that calling card)
Sad to say I will not be able to go to Hawaii this January to present the acoustics paper but I suppose it's all for the best anyhow, I simply can't afford two thousand dollars for just four days of a conference.
But good things for next year, and this year! Ho-ho-ho!
