Some days I feel as if I'm on top of the world -- I have an awesome job, left right center jobs writing, modeling, styling, painting faces, designing clothes and shoes, photographing people, shaping space (negating objects and focusing on space) for other people to live in. My calendar is pockmarked with deadlines and events and shoots and meetings with fascinating people who inspire me to create, clients who seek to revolt against norms and defy gravity, mentors who have taken me under their wing to help me grow as an artist. A room full of energy, full of passionate people who wish to push boundaries in their respective crafts. Crazy individuals who only think of money as a means to get their next (discounted) paintbrush, new (but secondhand) lomo, (lightly used) digitizer, (swapped) Shu Uemura 20 pony, (markedown) Anne Carson, and my favorite kind, those who shop for ebay Chanel purses.
But some days are like this. Some days I want less. On most days I want more.
