I'm done with teaching for the year, used up all my hours. I ended up teaching 4 groups of electrical pre-apprentices and apprentices basic electricity and PC hardware. I also taught 2 groups of mining students Word, Excel, basic math, and processing and recording data. They also had me doing what they call technician work during my free hours, and that will continue through the end of the year. It consists of filing, copying, answering phones, driving students to prac sites, running errands, etc. I also need to write a workbook for the PC Hardware module and digitize 2 of the basic electricity workbooks.

I took the mining students out recently on pracs to learn how to use a front end loader and bobcat and ended up getting my license during the course of it. In just over a week, I'll be going outback with them to Plumbago Station in South Australia for a few days to do their fieldwork pracs. 10+ hours each way, with Allan and I sharing the driving. Days spent in the bush. Nights in shearer's quarters.
metamorphic_mac gets to do the same with the other group 2 weeks later.
