I woke up today to a call from my grandma who told me that the dodge dealership called her to tell her that my car was finally fixed and i could pick it up today. Then I found out we were going to get to dogsit today, so i got to play around with my friend's dog Tank.
We took the dog to the beach walked around and had a generally good time. It was the perfect day for the beach as the weather was beautiful and there was a nice cool breez coming off lake erie.
When I got home from the beach, I got a call from a friend who had extra tickets to the indians game, and invited me along. while doing some research on things for my studio, I found a couple websites that seemed to allude to the fact that my roland RPC-1 soundcard might be compatible with the new Protools m-powered line of software. after a little more digging, I found out that the cards were indeed originally made by M-audio, and were later marketed as the DELTA RBUS card. I checked m-audio's site and found several delta cards listed as being compatible, but not the RBUS card. So I emailed their tech support, who basically told me that it would work, but because the card is currently discontinued they don't recommend it and i wouldn't receive any tech support on using them together.... Sweet, so now i have a protools compatible card and i have my vm3100 pro mixer that plugs directly into the card, so i can use it as an audio interface and as a control surface.
I went to the indians game, and we CRUSHed oakland 11-2. On the way home i stopped at the hifi got to see some industrial bands, and did heavy metal karaoke
i have to say it was a good day.
