Oh sweet god...By this time tomorrow morning, I will be a senior in high school. D: I WILL BE GOING TO COLLEGE IN ONE YEAR HOLY SHITSICLES
( Read more... )
I have to agree with owleyes_arisen - Everything east of the Rockies was declared a Safe Zone, or whatever the book calls it. Also Oregon isn't part of the Rocky Mountain chain; the mountains that Oregon has are the Cascades, Klamath and Coast Range, but I'm just being nitpicky.
That being said, BAWWWW this made me so sad to read D: Al losing his kids was heartbreaking to read. :C Guess that means he and England and all the others need to get together and make some more babies, hmm? >:p
DAMMIT GOOGLE, YOU AND YOUR MAPS MISLED ME. D:< I'm sorry about getting my geography wrong, I did use maps to try and get it right, and I think I knew that Oregon didn't have part of the Rockie's in it, but it was west so there would be some sort of effect.
D: And baww, I'm sorry, but you just confused me. Everything east was a safe zone or was it lost? It's not you, I get those mixed up because the book isn't very clear...D:
I am glad you liked it, despite my own inaccuracies. I actually wanna show the death of California in a little more detail, since I've been doodling it and it makes me wibble a bit. :3 They certainly will, though most of the kids he lost were Spain's. >D
Whoops, you were right - it was everything east of the Rockies that was lost; the states in the west were the safe zone. Got a little confused there.
That being said, it doesn't really matter where the safe zone was; this is your fic and you can do what you want. Personally the thought of my home state of California being eaten alive by a zombie is a little disturbung, but I look forward to seeing your art nonetheless. XD
Aw, jeez...I'm really sorry...I know it's an AU and my fic and all, but I wanted to be very factual and get whatever details that seemed important right...the fact I managed to screw this up...I'm awfully sorry... I guess I could keep it this way...losing the states east of the rockies would...well, be a lot. D: I don't think Alfred could handle that, to be honest. He'd go all Ivan on us.
:D Actually, California didn't get eaten by zombies, she got shot 3 times in the chest and died from bloodloss. Arizona and a bunch of the others got eaten alive, though.
Hey, don't stress! I think it works better this way, because like you said, losing all the states would be a lot. And just because the states west of the Rockies were the safe zone doesn't mean there were no zombies there.
Well that's good. I think what scares me the most about zombies is that they eat you for sustenance. At least California died a relatively humane death, but the thought that some of his children were eaten must be too much for Al to bear. Poor guy. :(
Well...ok. D: It is an AU, so maybe this can slide. I'm still a bit embarrassed, though...
Normally, I think getting shot like that wouldn't really kill a Nation or State, but I think the war had weakened them all to the point where that sort of thing could kill them. and if you think that's bad, you don't want to know what happened to Iceland...
D: Well, he DID have a bit of breakdown. I think he also feels guilty for not being able to save them or help them, or even be there...He didn't find the bodies of the ones who got eaten, I think that Mexico probably did. But he DID find California and Nevada's bodies, as well as poor little Alaska and Oregon. D:
Iceland got overrun by zombies, and therefore, Iceland himself got infected. D: He had to be killed by Denmark.
Alaska wasn't physically hurt, but he was there when Oregon lost his leg. In fact, Oregon was bitten trying to protect Alaska, but in the Zombie Guide, if you cut off the infected limb, there is a chance you'll survive. That, combined with the longevity of the nations, allowed Oregon to chop off his leg and still survive the bite. But Alaska was there, he feels responsible and Oregon kinda made him cut off the leg.
I'll possibly go into more detail about that later.
