Call it nostalgia of childhood memories but I looked up the Stephen King novel It. I never read the book when I was younger (though my mother had) but I remember watching the movie. Granted it scared the crap out of me when I was little and for a good two weeks I was scared to death of drain pipes but it was a good movie.

Anyway I wikipedied the book and....what?

Firstly this: The book is dedicated to King's family: "This book is gratefully dedicated to my children. My mother and my wife taught me how to be a man. My children taught me how to be free."

So you wrote a book about a mass murdering clown that primarily focuses on children and you decide to dedicate it to your own kids? Boy that's nice. Thanks, dad.

Then there's this: The Losers decide that It has been destroyed and attempt to leave the sewers, but find themselves lost. As the Losers panic in the dark, their mystical bond begins to fray. In order to keep the bond, Beverly has sexual intercourse with each of the boys.

WHAT????? What is this I don't even. Aren't they supposed to be CHILDREN? Why are they having sex with each other? Why does it have to be sex in order to maintain their 'bond'? So fucking stupid.

When the group returned to Derry in 1985 they (Bill and Beverly) sleep together but do not carry their relationship any further.

Bill was MARRIED at the time, to a hot actress no less. Maybe I'm prejudging the book but I do remember my mother commenting about there being an affair between the shark expert and the cop's wife in Jaws and she saying she found it distracting and having no impact on the main story and being rather unnecessary. This seems a lot like that. Have some class you assholes

All the boys are described as being fond of Beverly; at some point, each has romantic or sexual feelings for her, which is later confirmed once all the Losers return from the sewer defeating It (or so they thought), each boy having sexual intercourse with Bev one by one until she orgasmed.

>.> ...why?

Anyway I think I'll just download the movie again. I refuse to read about this crap.

whut
